Indiana Woman Leads Police On Run after With Kidnapped Daughter On Her Panel (VIDEO)

An Indiana female is facing several felonies right after she allegedly abducted her 5-year-old daughter and led police with an intense chase before finally trying to flee with her child within her arms.

Aubrey Coy, 34, of Syracuse, Ind. was visiting her daughter in nearby Warsaw Sunday under the court-ordered supervision of her mom, according to WSBT-TV.

But when her mother went to the restroom, Coy escaped with her daughter, according to ABC57. The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department in Indiana located her in St . Joseph County, Mich., about 60 miles aside, using the GPS signal from her phone to find her. They called local authorities, and Michigan State Police were able to find her, they said within a statement. As cops were talking to Coy at her car, however , she sped away. According to ABC57, Coy allegedly told an officer, “You aren’t taking my child. ” She pulled her daughter from the front chair and put her in her panel as she drove, according to police.

Coy reportedly brought authorities on a chase for several kilometers, giving police her middle hand out the window and reaching speeds of 75 miles per hour, WWMT reports. Officials from the small city of Constantine put down stop sticks; she hit them, but kept driving, police said. Eventually, certainly one of her tires came off the edge and she got two flats.

When Coy finally halted, she left the car with her daughter in her arms and tried to flee before she has been subdued by pursuing police. Authorities said she struggled and fought against with officers as they tried to handcuff her.

According to WSBT-TV, Coy cried during her arraignment Monday and said the girl felt like she’s “dreaming or something” and had “no idea how [she] got here. ”

In Michigan, Coy was charged with several felonies, according to state police, including intended for fleeing and eluding, possession of narcotics, resisting and obstruction. She was also charged with the misdemeanors of operating under the influence and child endangerment. According to WWMT, Coy has been under the influence of cocaine and had several previous convictions, including convictions for medication possession. She is being held on a $150, 000 bond and has extra charges are pending in Indiana.

Her daughter was uninjured, according to Michigan State Police.
