While Cinderella would have been able to stand in those sparkling glass slippers, she would have almost certainly ended up with the sliced foot the moment she tried to run away from Prince Charming.

Which according to physics students at the University or college of Leicester in England, who released a study in October, “Cinderella’s Shattered Dreams, ” attempting to figure out how, precisely, the princess could have rocked glass shoes at the ball and still complied with the laws of matter and energy.

The students concluded that “in order for Cinderella to run away in the prince at midnight she would have to have the glass shoe with a heel associated with less than 1 . 15 [centimeters in height]” –  ´╗┐much smaller compared to size often depicted  in adaptations of the fairy tale.

The Cinderella study is among a number of documents recently published in the university’s  Record of Physics Special Topics,   in which students put science facing fiction and fantasy.

“There’ t only one real world, ” UL physics Professor Mervyn Roy, who oversees the course, told National Geographic last week. “Students can run out of relatively simple problems because other groups have done them in the past. But as soon as you start to look at fiction, there’ ersus a huge realm of things to explore. ”

Ghostly Light Inside Abandoned New Orleans Hospital Captivates Internet

A ghostly light photographed shining from inside an abandoned New Orleans hospital is certainly captivating armchair detectives and online thrill-seekers.

In a number of chilling photos, Charitable organization Hospital is seen completely dark except for a single window glowing near its center.  

A woman identifying himself as a nurse at the nearby Tulane Medical Center sounded the alarm Sunday after snapping photos of the eerie sight and uploading it with her Facebook page. It’s since already been shared more than 16, 000 moments, with people speculating it’s a Christmas shrub or a ghost.

For those few of you who seem to may not know… I work at a good inner city New Orleans medical center that happens to be situated…

But it turns out, not all stuff are as spooky as they seem.

An urban explorer, who states have ventured inside of the desolate creating,   shared a photo from inside the discolored room. In it, there’s a cardboard structure accompanied by lights.

Edit: someone is taking credit for sneaking in and putting a tree in this room, can' t personally confirm.. A photo from the outside of this room is going virus-like and people think these lights really are a ghost Christmas tree. The only thing scary about this is how much the City associated with NOLA spends to keep the power on.

An LSU Wellness Science Center spokesperson, reached by The Huffington Post Tuesday, confirmed the particular object’s earthly ties but determined it as two-by-fours wrapped along with lights.
